ZEELAND, MI – Symbiote, a furniture manufacturer, has expanded its operations in Zeeland in a move that officials says will create seven new jobs. Symbiote, which makes furniture such as work tables and storage for the biotechnology, education, healthcare and security industries, invested $626,000 to expand its operations, according to Lakeshore Advantage, an economic development organization.

Located in a large field between the street and the outer wall of the current Häfele America Co. Archdale, North Carolina warehouse, the expansion will add 94,200 sq. ft. of High-Rise Distribution Center space. That will bring the facility to 221,200 sq. ft. in total, increasing overall storage capacity by 60 percent.
