Patrick Industries reported sales for the fourth quarter of 2016 increased $75.2 million to $323.9 million.

Hiring is ongoing at contract furniture maker HNI Corp., which reported $2.2 billion in revenue for 2016 and net income of $86 million.

Lumber source Pope Resources reported net income more than tripled, to $2 million, as revenue declined by $2 million. Since the October 2015 expiration of the Softwood Lumber Agreement , Canadian lumber has been sold duty-free into the U.S. market. The influx has played a role in keeping log prices in check.

Kitchen cabinet sales for Masco fell six percent as it exits part of the new construction business. Overall, the diversified businesses of Masco - whose businesses include Delta faucets and Milgaurd windows, as well as cabinetry lines Kraftmaid, Duracraft and Merillat Cabinet - grew 7 percent, tracking the bustling home improvement and single family home markets.
