Laboratory casework contract totals $8.4 million for City University of New York

STATESVILLE, N.C. - Kewaunee Scientific was awarded the Laboratory Casework contract for the City University of New York in Brooklyn, New York. The total contract, valued at $8.4 million, includes wood laboratory casework, and dental casework and equipment.
Kewaunee Scientific will NYCCT New Academic Building, located in Brooklyn, New York. The total contract value is approximately $8.4 million. The scope of work includes wood laboratory casework, dental casework and equipment, fume hoods, and miscellaneous laboratory equipment. The general contractor is Sciame Construction Co., Inc., of New York City.
"This award demonstrates the confidence that our customers have in Kewaunee's ability to deliver large complex state-of-the-art laboratories around the world," said David Rausch, Kewaunee Scientific CEO.
Rausch noted Kewaunee is just finishing up Columbia University's Greene Science Center on its new Manhattanville campus in New York City. And last month Kewaunee was awarded a major extension totaling $18.5 at Kuwait University.
Kewaunee celebrated its 110th-anniversary last month by ringing the opening bell at the NASDAQ trading floor. Rausch and Thomas Hull III, CFO, did the honors.
A member of the Architectural Woodwork Institute, Kewaunee Scientific was founded in 1906, and designs, manufactures, and installs laboratory, healthcare, and technical furniture products.
