At CCI Media, we are committed to using artificial intelligence (AI) in a responsible and transparent manner that upholds our values of integrity, quality, and respect for human creativity. In line with the goals set during our 2023 Company Meeting, this policy outlines how we incorporate AI into our operations. The following principles guide all AI use at CCI Media, ensuring AI serves as a supportive tool - never a replacement for human authorship - in our content creation and business practices:

 

Human Authorship & Oversight: All published content and decisions at CCI Media remain under human control. AI may assist with research, drafting or editing, but it does not replace the unique judgment, voice, or creativity of our staff. Every piece of content is ultimately crafted and reviewed by a human editor or expert, maintaining the personal touch our audiences and partners trust. We do not use AI to autonomously generate articles, images, or graphics for publication without substantial human involvement and approval.

Transparency in AI Assistance: We believe in being open about when and how we use AI. If AI contributes significantly to the creation of content or imagery, we will clearly disclose it to our audience or clients to maintain honesty. However, purely assistive uses of AI (such as grammar checking, format tweaking or headline suggestions) are considered part of our internal process and do not warrant public labeling. In short, anything presented as editorial or creative output to readers will be either human-made or explicitly marked as AI-assisted, as appropriate.

Accuracy, Quality & Accountability: AI outputs are treated as unverified suggestions, not facts. Our team rigorously fact-checks and edits any AI-assisted material to meet CCI Media’s editorial standards of accuracy and fairness. We remain accountable for everything we publish - AI will never be cited as the author. If an AI tool’s information cannot be confirmed or if it introduces bias or errors, it will not be used. Our commitment to quality means AI is used to enhance speed and efficiency, but never at the cost of truth or trust.

Respect for Intellectual Property: CCI Media respects creators’ rights and intellectual property laws in all AI usage. We do not feed proprietary or copyrighted material into AI tools without proper rights, and we avoid AI models known to use unlicensed data from artists or authors. We recognize that purely AI-generated images and text cannot be copyrighted under U.S. law without human creative input, so we use generative AI content cautiously. Any AI-generated visuals used (for example, abstract illustrations) will be original or properly licensed and will be clearly labeled as AI-generated in captions or credits. Our use of AI will never be an excuse to infringe on someone’s artwork, writing, or data - ethical and legal compliance is non-negotiable.

Privacy and Data Security: We prioritize privacy when using AI tools. No sensitive, confidential, or personally identifiable information will be submitted to public AI services. We use trusted platforms (or offline/internal tools) for AI processing whenever possible to safeguard data. CCI Media also expects employees and partners to follow cybersecurity best practices with AI, ensuring that the introduction of AI does not compromise company or client information security.

Continuous Improvement and Legal Compliance: The AI landscape and its regulations are evolving rapidly. We are committed to continuously updating our AI policies and practices in line with new laws, regulatory guidance, and industry best practices. This includes ongoing education for our staff about AI, periodic reviews or audits of how AI is being used in our workflows, and adapting our guidelines as needed. By staying proactive, we ensure that CCI Media’s use of AI remains ethical, compliant across all regions we operate in, and true to our mission of trusted B2B journalism and media services.
