Greenville Woodworkers Guild

The Greenville Woodworkers Guild, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is located in Greenville, SC. We are North America’s largest, nonprofit, all volunteer woodworking education center and guild with two buildings sitting on six acres and nearly 1,000 dues paying members. The main building is our 25,000 sq ft heated & cooled shop containing every machine possible for our individual hobby woodworking members. Members enjoy easy access to the shop whenever they have a personal project to work on and pay $150/year in dues.

Alderfer Lumber

Alderfer Lumber began in 1993 in response to the increasing demands of local landowners for an alternative method of harvesting trees. Owner and founder Randall Alderfer hitched up his team of horses, Harry, Larry, and Jedd, and went to work. Logging with horses proved to be a very marketable idea. In 1996 Randall’s brother John joined in the business and together they began manufacturing their logs into lumber.
