Craft in America to present Tools of the Trade exhibition

Tools of the Trades: American Handmade Implements & Devices is the first exhibition of its kind to highlight hand-crafted tools made by contemporary toolmakers in the United States. It will also be the first in a series of exhibitions for Handwork 2026, a nationwide semi-quincentennial collaboration showcasing the importance of the handmade craft.

Bureau of Land Management selling 4.2 million board feet of timber in Montana

The Bureau of Land Management is accepting written bids for the Big Hole West timber sale until Sept. 23, 2025. The sale includes nearly 4.2 million board feet of timber across 1,800 acres to thin dense Douglas-fir stands and reduce tree encroachment on grasslands near Wise River in Silver Bow County. These efforts will increase forest resiliency, improve wildlife habitat for sage grouse, big game, and other species, and benefit local communities.

Dorel to auction the entire contents of its shuttered Ohio plant

The complete contents of Dorel Home Furnishings former Ameriwood production plant in Tiffin, Ohio, is being auctioned off. Dorel announced the closure of the Ohio plant in January 2025 as part of the restructuring of its struggling Home segment. The plan eventually led to the June 2025 announcement that it was closing its Cornwall, Ontario, RTA plant, and end all Home manufacturing operations in North America.
