WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. — Brick Mill Furniture, a custom hardwood furniture manufacturer located in the former lumber capital of the world, have earned a coveted spot on the 2025 Inc. 5000. It was named as one of the fastest-growing private companies in the United States.

“Earning a place on the Inc. 5000 list is more than a milestone — it’s a testament to the grit, resilience, and relentless dedication of every person on our team,” says Michael Caseman, CEO and co-founder of Brick Mill Furniture.

Brick Mill is an internet-based company that sells heirloom quality solid hardwood furniture made from black walnut, white oak, maple and cherry, to name a few.

Combining modern design with traditional craftsmanship, it manufactures a variety of items such as tables, beds, desks, and shelves. Shipping its products to all fifty states, Brick Mill Furniture also boasts a by-appointment showroom and a newly acquired 30,000 square foot manufacturing space, located in Williamsport.

Launched during the pandemic, the company’s founders were on a mission to fulfill a need in the marketplace.
“People were spending more time at home,” says Zach Wahl, president. “They desired to fill their living spaces with beautiful things, and those beautiful things just happen to be made of hardwood.” He added, “Sustainable hardwood is a much better option than mass produced, short- lived wood look-a-like products.”

To the company founders, hardwood was a solid manufacturing choice. They noted that hardwood can be transformed into one-of-a-kind pieces that are durable, beautiful, and healthy for homes. Furthermore, hardwood pays tribute to the history of Williamsport—the founders’ hometown. In fact, to honor the city that has been credited for industrializing the nation with its forests, the company’s name, brand and logo, and original manufacturing location near Water Tower Square, pay homage to Brick Mill—a mill that was located on the Susquehanna River at the turn of the 19th century.

“We are focused on creating and delivering exquisite, handcrafted furniture that our customers can cherish for years to come,” said Zac Caseman, general manager. Brick Mill Furniture not only made the Inc. 5000, but it is the 98th fastest growing private manufacturer in the United States, and the 97th fastest growing private company in the state of Pennsylvania.

“This is an incredible accomplishment for Brick Mill Furniture.” says Stephanie Phillips-Taggart, executive director of Keystone Wood Products Association, a non-profit organization that promotes the use of Real American Hardwood, homegrown in Pennsylvania. “Currently, there is strong competition from wood-look-alike products, yet Brick Mill Furniture is succeeding and poised for future growth.”
