WPE Lancaster is the largest industrial woodworking show and conference in the Northeast.

MANHEIM, Pa. – A full range of woodworking equipment and supplies, including many introduced at the recent International Woodworking Fair, will be presented at Wood Pro Expo Lancaster

The two-day event, which also features a variety of classroom and on-the-show-floor educational opportunities, takes place Oct. 13-14 at Spooky Nook Sports and the Warehouse on the Nook.

WPE Lancaster is the largest industrial woodworking show and conference in the Northeast. This year’s edition features more than 65 manufacturers and distributors of woodworking machinery, software, cutting tools, finishing equipment and materials, hardware, lumber, and much more. 

The WPE Lancaster show floor will once again be anchored by the ever-popular Running Machine Program (RMP) plus the newer Classic Machines Pavilion. Learn more.

The RMP will include scheduled demonstrations of CNC nesting machines presented by experts of CNC Factory and NewCNC, plus participation by Felder and RT Machine.

The Classic Machines Pavilion will feature equipment from Blue Ball Machine, Martin's Woodworking Machinery and Quality Packaging Products. Among the pavilion highlights, Martin's will showcase the Northtech iDovetail, winner of a 2022 IWF Challengers Award.

Classroom presentations and free keynotes
Each morning of WPE Lancaster includes a pair of educational seminars.

On Thursday, Oct. 13, popular FDMC columnist Dr. Eugene Wengert will address common challenges facing the wood products industry in his presentation, “The Wood Doctor Is in.” Then, Leland Thomasset, owner of Taghkanic Woodworking and Pawling Closet, will present “Getting Started in the Closets Market.”

The Friday, Oct. 14 conference sessions include “The New ‘NORMAL’ in Finishing: New and Current Coating Technologies and Supply Chain Challenges," presented by Leslie Smith, national sales executive of Diamond Vogel Industrial Wood Coatings. Smith will be followed by a session led by Gregory Paolini, director of operations for Gregory Paolini Design entitled, “Profit First for Cabinetmakers: Guarantee Profit from Your Cabinet Shop.”

Free keynote presentations by FDMC Editorial Director Will Sampson are also on tap each day of the show. Sampson will address the Path to Woodworking Professionalism on Thursday, Oct. 13 and Pricing Problems on Friday, Oct. 14.

The two-day event is preceded by a tour of three area woodworking facilities organized by the Cabinet Makers Association on Wednesday, Oct. 12.
