Italy"s Xylexpo to Take Place in May

MILAN, ITALY -- Xylexpo, a biennial exhibition of woodworking technology, will take place Tuesday, May 27 to Saturday, May 31, at the new Rho-Pero Expo Center in Milan, Italy. The exhibition has added new product categories in addition to machinery, accessories, and tools and plants for all machining and process operations, such as forestry and the construction industry.

Leggett Announces Personnel Changes

CARTHAGE, MO – Rob Woods, president of Leggett & Platt Inc.’s Consumer Products Group, announced that Ron Answorth will rejoin the group as senior vice president of procurement. His duties will include assisting in product development and working with the sales teams to develop programs for specific national accounts. In addition, Stephen Sczubelek has been named senior vice president of merchandising.

SierraPine Receives Industry Safety Award

ROSEVILLE, CA – SierraPine received two safety awards at the Composite Panel Association’s (CPA) annual spring meeting, held in Palm Springs, CA. For the second consecutive year, the company’s Ampine particleboard manufacturing plant, located in Martell, CA, holds the distinction of the greatest reduction in accident incidence rates among all CPA members for the last three years.
