MOUNTVILLE, Pa. — AHF Products is continuing a multi-year plan to streamline manufacturing operations with the announcement that it will be winding down operations at its Somerset, Kentucky, manufacturing facility.

According to news reports, AHF Products plans to close its hardwood flooring plant in Somerset by Dec. 12, 2025, with some reports stating that production of certain products will continue until February 2026 to ensure orders are filled.

Operations, according to Floor Covering News, will be transitioned to other AHF facilities. “Consolidating operations is never an easy decision, particularly when it impacts our people,” said Brent Emore, CEO of AHF Products. “The team at Somerset has delivered exceptional work, and we are deeply grateful for their dedication and contributions over the years. This step, though difficult, is essential to better position AHF for success in a rapidly evolving market while ensuring customer service remains our top priority.”

Floor Daily reported that the decision follows a "multi-year internal review and a comprehensive market analysis, which confirmed that consolidating production is the most effective way to align manufacturing capacity with current and projected demand. "

The Somerset facility is where the company's densified wood products is produced and the company reportedly will continue manufacturing the product through February 2026 to provide an "orderly transition and uninterrupted customer supply." The company said the change will not affect product availability, service continuity or quality standards.

As part of its long-term strategy, AHF Products’ plans to consolidate reinforces the company’s focus on investing in engineered and solid hardwood operations. It also strengthens efforts to improve manufacturing efficiency and product innovation.

Emore said that the company remains committed to U.S. manufacturing, reports Floor Covering News. “Domestic production supports greater quality control, faster delivery times and the ability to respond quickly to customer needs across North America. Our commitment to our customers remains unwavering. This consolidation enables us to deliver even greater value through operational excellence, dependable quality and product innovation.”

In July 2024, AHF Products announced plans to close its Warren, Arkansas, facility and consolidate its solid hardwood flooring manufacturing operations in its AHF Beverly, West Virginia, facility, and the AHF West Plains, Missouri, plant.

In 2022, the company announced plans to close its wood flooring factory in Titusville, Pa., effective Oct. 30, 2022, and shift production of select solid and engineered wood flooring products to other plants.
