American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame announces 2026 inductees

HIGH POINT, N.C. — Five influential industry leaders will be inducted into the American Home Furnishings Hall of Fame on Oct. 18 during the High Point Market.oining the current 143 members of the Hall of Fame are Kenneth Larson, founder, Slumberland Furniture; Mark Phillips, chairman and co-founder, Phillips Collection; Connie Post, CEO, Connie Post Affordable Design Solutions; Niraj S. Shah, CEO, co-founder and co-chairman, Wayfair; and J. Ralph Stump, founder and former CEO, Stump Financial Corporation.

Hooker income in the black, margins improve

MARTINSVILLE, Va. — Hooker Furnishings Corporation reported its operating results for fiscal 2026 fourth quarter and full-year ended February 1, 2026. The fiscal 2026 fourth quarter saw continuing operations return to profitability with operating income of $0.6 million despite lower sales volume.

Sam Beauford Woodworking Institute announces Michigan Contemporary Craft show

This annual exhibition is a celebration of craftsmanship, creativity, and the next generation of woodworkers. Join SBWI for the opening reception on Friday, May 29 from 5:30–7:30 p.m., or visit in the early summer, as the exhibition remains on view through July 18. Graduates of the class of 2026 will display work in the gallery from May 29 through June 5. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
