Lumber Liquidators Lawsuit Includes Engineered Hardwood Floors

Consumer-rights law firm Hagens Berman filed an expanded lawsuit against Lumber Liquidators (NYSE:LL), stating that the flooring company not only sold noncompliant composite flooring, but that its engineered hardwood floors also contain hazardous levels of cancer-causing formaldehyde, according to the lawsuit.

Composite Panel Association Names Morrill Its New President

The Composite Panel Association has hired Jackson Morrill as its new president, effective April 13. Morrill has been serving as director for the American Chemistry Council (ACC) since 2010, where he managed the Formaldehyde Panel directing comprehensive state and federal advocacy initiatives, communications, third-party outreach and scientific studies on formaldehyde.

Lumber Liquidators Probe Request by Sen. Nelson: Letter

In a letter to the heads of the CPSC, the CDC and the FTC, U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson called for independent testing of Lumber Liquidators' laminate flooring. He also asked whether false marketing claims were made about the product’s compliance with California formaldehyde safety standards.
