James Hardie honored as a 2025 National Preferred Partner of David Weekley Homes

The National Preferred Partner designation is the result of David Weekley Homes’ 21st annual National Preferred Partner Survey, a comprehensive evaluation of field and manufacturing suppliers. The survey assesses companies on their performance in quality and customer service through a detailed system of feedback and evaluation. Out of 118 companies evaluated in 2025, only 20% earned the National Preferred Partner distinction.

Re-staining an old wooden chest

I was trying to re-stain an old wooden chest my great-grandfather made. The top of the chest had some water rings on it, and there were some spots on the side with little dots of white paint that I was trying to sand off. But now, the top looks much lighter than the rest of the chest, and after three coats of Howard’s Restor A Finish, golden oak, it still seems too light. How can I get the lighter spots darker? Should I get a darker stain? (Note: The pictures make the chest appear darker than it is.)

MillerKnoll's strong results dragged down by tariff costs

MillerKnoll reporting positive sales growth for both the fourth quarter ended May 31, as well as fiscal year. Despite this the company earnings were down as a result of tariff-related costs.For the period ended May 31, net sales of $961.8 million, up 8.2% as reported and up 7.8% organically, year-over-year. Overall, in fiscal year 2025, net sales of $3.7 billion, up 1.1% as reported and up 1.6% organically, year-over-year.

Advice on how to trim this window behind kitchen sink

I have a low window behind my kitchen sink. I need advice on how to trim it. There is a sill that is the exact width of the window in the picture that we would like to remain. It is same material as the counter.
