ALEXANDRIA, VA -- The International Wood Products Assn. (IWPA) released program details for their March 28-30, 2012 convention at the Miramonte in Indian Wells, CA. The speakers and workshops make this event one of the industry’s most anticipated events of 2012.
A highlight of this year's program is Gibson Guitar’s CEO, Henry Juszkiewicz, joining more than a dozen other speakers on subjects from the economy and international trade policy to business leaders from key market segments. As an added bonus, this year’s convention features a half-day workshop specifically on Lacey Act compliance with tools and techniques the industry can use.
Expanded business networking events are sure to add even more value for the more than 260 industry leaders from 25 countries that are expected to attend.
Alan McIlvain, Jr., IWPA president said, “IWPA's convention is known for tackling industry's critical issues and this year is no different. Whether we are talking plywood issues and the EPA formaldehyde regulation, or the Lacey Act and industry compliance, these conventions provide the practical information our members can use immediately upon returning home. None of us can afford to guess about compliance." McIlvain continued, "We understand a big part of our conventions is also about advancing business interests. The networking forums are specifically designed to lead directly to new business relationships.”
