NEW YORK – Form meets function with Nero Cucine’s N037 Hyper Kitchen, winner of the 2021 Architizer A+ Award in the Kitchen Cabinetry & Millwork products category.

The main feature of the Italian manufacturer’s Hyper Kitchen is a dynamic countertop that when raised, transforms an elegant block into a fully functional kitchen. The countertop, in this case, made of Corian, but with the option of marble or veneer, is lifted via a concealed wing top mechanism designed by Nero Cucine to reveal a stainless-steel countertop featuring a working area with welded sink and a retractable faucet. Once the top is fully up, it forms a 90-degree angle with the under surface, thus turning into a de facto backsplash equipped with a sensor LED light pointed at the cooking counter.

The Hyper Kitchen features a tubular steel structure that features Blum Legrabox drawers available in either metal or solid walnut dovetail. The model shown is equipped with internal LED lights.

While the NO37 was designed by Nero Cucine’s co-founders Stefano Venier and Bartolomeo Bellati for the kitchen, it can also function as a wet or dry bar. The company’s global marketing and flagship showroom is located in the Soho design district of New York City.
