Video: Building workholding fixtures on the CNC

YouTuber and woodworker Frank Howarth this time sets his sights on a practical project.

"In this project, I made two workholding devices for the CNC wood router table. The first workholding device is a clamp that holds a piece of wood vertical so I can mill the end.  I used it to make the joint in the middle of the carver’s mallets I made last week.

Infinitum reimagines the guitar, features salvaged Black Maire timber

NEW ZEALAND - Maxwell Custom's latest iteration of its Infinitum guitar series reimagines the classical guitar design and is built in salvaged Kahikatea and Black Maire timbers native to New Zealand.

Seeking to create a responsive, harmonically-rich sound, Maxwell challenged the internal bracing of traditional instruments, selecting instead to feature ‘single point’ carbon fiber bracing.
