Founded in 1893, Gravois Planing Mill has served the region for more than 130 years, building a reputation for craftsmanship and quality in architectural woodwork and custom millwork. The company is now entering a new phase of growth under the ownership of Jason Bridwell and Jeff Stahl, who acquired the business in 2025.

The U.S. Department of Labor awarded $224,994 to Oregon to support employment and training services for workers affected by layoffs at at the Dillard, Oregon plant. On Sept. 25, 2025, Roseburg Forest Products permanently closed its Dillard facility, laying off 107 workers and causing significant economic disruption to the region. Production resumed March 4, 2026.

ProWood, a manufacturer of pressure-treated lumber products, will bring a full lineup of contractor-led demonstrations to JLC Live 2026, March 27–28 in Providence, Rhode Island. The ProWood Demo Stage (booth 441) will feature five unique sessions over two days focused on framing techniques, build planning, precision inlays, and social media strategies for deck builders.

Rayonier Inc. announced that Ashlee Townsend Cribb has resigned as Executive Vice President, Wood Products to accept a CEO opportunity with a privately-owned, specialty wood products manufacturer. Ryan Daniels, currently Senior Vice President, Operations of the Wood Products business, will assume leadership of the Wood Products business on an interim basis.

An engineer by trade and a mentor by nature, James’s personal philosophy, “Get busy living,” changed the company from a hardware vendor into a diversified solutions provider. Designed as an educational and networking event, the sessions aim to give shop owners, production managers, and woodworkers a closer look at how precision cutting solutions can improve shop efficiency, accuracy, and overall workflow.
