Asia-Pacific Sourcing in Cologne
The fourth edition of Europe’s No.1 sourcing fair offers a competent, expert range featuring products from the Asian-Pacific region. Approximately four months ahead of the event’s launch, more than 500 suppliers have already confirmed their participation at the fair. The positive indications have put Oliver P. Kuhrt, Executive Vice-President Koelnmesse, in a confident mood:

“The good registration level is also an indication of the Asian economy’s recovery from the crisis, which was still seriously affecting the markets just two years ago. A new upturn is also noticeable in Europe.” In the fully-booked Hall 8 at Koelnmesse trade visitors to Asia-Pacific Sourcing can expect products and services from the segments tools, locks and fittings, do-it-yourself materials, ironmongery/wire products, fastenings, garden furniture, garden tools, barbecues, camping articles, sporting goods and toys along with leisure equipment. Anyone who registers online in advance at www.asia-pacificsourcing.com will receive free admission to Asia-Pacific Sourcing. The online registration will launch on 1st December 2010 and be activated just before the fair starts.

At Asia-Pacific Sourcing from March 9-11 buyers from Europe and North America are expected from the most diverse sectors: the retail trade, including garden and home improvement stores, self-service department stores and discounters, makes use of the fair as do international representatives from the wholesale, foreign trade and mail-order business sectors. On the second day of the fair, the “Buying Day” matchmaking programme will be held, organized by the Home Improvement Industry Presidents Council in collaboration with Koelnmesse. Here the DIY trade – mainly from North America – comes together with producers from Asia.

Exhibitors have the opportunity of already entering specific discussions with customers in advance. In turn the buyers can obtain a quick overview of those exhibitors for which a longer stand visit could be worthwhile in order to supplement their own ranges for the coming season. Menards, one of the leading North American home improvement store operators, has confirmed their participation in an Online-Buying-Day at Asia-Pacific Sourcing.

Admission for pre-registered trade visitors is free of charge. Further information available at: www.asia-pacificsourcing.com.
