Uniboard said its Sayabec particleboard and thermally-fused melamine operations are running and is preparing to reopen its Mt. Laurier MDF plant.
Uniboard, a manufacturer of decorative composite wood panels, has invested $17 million in a new state-of-the-art thermally-fused laminate (TFL) press line at its Sayabec mill in Quebec.
It all began in Sayabec, in December 1982, when one of the largest particleboard and TFL facilities in North America produced its first panel.
LAVAL, Quebec - Uniboard will launch 10 new thermally fused laminate designs at the 2017 Woodworking Machinery & Supply Conference and Expo (WMS) from November 2 - 4 in Toronto.
The new collection is designed with realism and balance in mind and features 3 Urban Cherries, 3 Dorato Oaks, a redesigned Exotic Wood, a unique Crosscut design and 2 very trendy Metallic Greys. Each colour contains subtle variations which, when combined with its finishes, mirror the best of nature’s riches, the company says.
