US Dept.of Labor OSHA Renews Alliance to Protect Ohio Workers

The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration has renewed an alliance with the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation and the Council of Smaller Enterprises to provide the council's member companies with information, guidance and access to training resources to protect the safety and health of workers in the manufacturing, service and construction industries.

Sawmill Cited by OSHA for Violations After a Worker Was Killed

he U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited Nix Forest Industries Inc. in Timpson, Texas, with 17 safety and health violations, including one willful, after a worker was killed in December 2012 when he was struck by a broken band saw blade and other workers were exposed to hazards at the sawmill.

OSHA Cites NC Hunt for Repeat and Serious Violations

The U.S. Department of Labor's Occupational Safety and Health Administration has cited sawmill NC Hunt Inc. for three alleged repeat violations and seven serious violations of workplace safety standards. The facility in Jefferson faces a total of $79,310 in proposed fines following an inspection by OSHA's Augusta office begun in December 2012.
