Funds will help B.C. firms launch sustainable projects 

VANCOUVER, B.C. – Two forestry projects in B.C. are receiving funding to develop and advance value-added manufacturing in the province. Funding from Natural Resources Canada’s Investments in Forest Industry Transformation (IFIT) program is helping B.C. companies develop ways to utilize  dead and damaged wood products by turning them into engineered wood products.

Georgia-Pacific, Lamco Ink Engineered Wood Agreement

ATLANTA -- Georgia-Pacific announced a sales and distribution agreement with Lamco Forest Products for the production of laminated fingerjointed lumber (LFL) products, to be sold under the Georgia-Pacific brand.Based in Quebec, Lamco says it uses a patented process combining double tongue and groove and fingerjoints to produce the engineered wood structural building products.
