Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK) today announced its intention to acquire Delcam (LON: DLC), one of the world’s leading suppliers of advanced software for the manufacturing industry.
3D software firm Autodesk Inc. will acquire Delcam Plc for $276 million (£172.5 million). Delcam is a leading provider of CADCAM software to the woodworking and other industries, with products that include ArtCAM and PowerMILL.
Delcam will demonstrate new tools for the creation and editing of vectors in its ArtCAM Express software for sig-nmaking and other woodworking applications at the Woodworking Machinery & Supply Expo to be held in Toronto, Oct. 24-26.
