Legislation would designate American hardwood products a home energy efficiency improvement

U.S. Representatives Glenn Thompson (R-PA) and Terri Sewell (D-AL) introduced the Solid American Hardwood Tax Credit Act to allow individual taxpayers to include solid American manufactured hardwood products, such as flooring and paneling, as qualified home energy efficiency improvements under the Energy Efficient Home Improvement Credit.

Viking Arm and Stanley Black & Decker reportedly resolve patent dispute

Stanley Black & Decker reportedly settled a patent dispute it had with Norway-based Viking Arm involving Viking Arm’s construction jack patents and Stanley Black & Decker’s Stanley Fatmax Tradelift, DeWalt Construction Jack and Irwin Quick-Lift. As part of the settlement, Stanley Black & Decker reportedly has signed a license agreement with Viking Arm.
