The world's tallest wooden building - and the tallest building of any kind in Japan - will be an 1150-foot tall timber skyscraper in Tokyo.

England Furniture will invest $31 million to expand its New Tazewell, Tennessee, residential furniture operation, creating 202 jobs.

Four U.S. producers of hardwood plywood have filed a petition with the Department of Commerce, asking the agency to find that hardwood plywood products with face and back veneers made of softwood species suitable for decorative uses are circumventing the recently issued antidumping and countervailing duty orders on hardwood plywood products from China.

McCONNELLSVILLE, N.Y. — Less than a month after shuttering its doors, Harden Furniture has recalled 82 workers as the longtime residential and contract furniture maker resumes limited production at its McConnellsville, New York factory. 

CHARLOTTE -- Young Wood Pro finalist, Nathan Deal's 17-ft. kayak named the Great Auk was awarded the Young Wood Pro winner at Wood Pro Expo in Charlotte.  Deal said his kayak was crafted with western red cedar and used curly white maple for accent strips.

CHATHAM, Va. – Custom plywood manufacturer Eastern Panel Manufacturing Inc. has announced plans to invest $1 million to expand its manufacturing operation in Chatham, Virginia. The company will move into a nearby 55,000-square-foot facility and add 15 jobs.

Office and workspace furniture manufacturing giant Haworth Inc. recently announced 2017 global sales of $2.04 billion, a 5.3 percent increase from 2016 and fueled by growth in every region of the world.
