HUDSON, Mass. — Sharp Tool, a leading name in saw blade and cutting tool solutions, has acquired Forrest Manufacturing, renowned for producing some of the highest-quality saw blades on the market. This strategic move unites two organizations that share a commitment to precision, performance, and craftsmanship.
“Few names in our industry carry the respect and reputation that Forrest does,” said Mike Morette, co-owner of Sharp Tool. “Our goal is not to change what Forrest built, but to honor it, protect it, and carry it forward. Customers can expect the same exceptional blades they’ve trusted for years—backed by the expanded resources and support of Sharp Tool.”
The company says that this acquisition is especially meaningful because of the deep similarities between the two companies. Forrest has been setting the standard since 1946, and Sharp Tool since 1959—both built on family roots, craftsmanship, and an unwavering reputation for quality. This is less about two companies becoming one and more about two long-standing legacies joining forces to strengthen the future.
In a letter from Jay Forrest, owner, he said, "this partnership marks an exciting new chapter, and I want to assure you that the same commitment to quality and service you’ve always known from Forrest will continue without interruption. Sharp Tool was carefully chosen because they share the values that have defined Forrest for decades — pride in craftsmanship, dedication to customers, and an unwavering focus on excellence. With their support, our ability to serve you will only grow stronger."
Forrest added that Ted Rogozinski, who has been with Forrest for more than 35 years, will continue as a Forrest specialist. "Ted’s knowledge and care will ensure a seamless transition and the same personal service you’ve relied on," he said.
According to the Sharp Tool statement, "Together, Sharp Tool and Forrest Manufacturing will continue to push the boundaries of innovation in saw blade technology, while never losing sight of the values that built both companies: precision, quality, and a relentless focus on the customer."
