Nominations close May 31 for the seventh annual program recognizing those making a difference in their workplace, community and industry. The Woodworking Network 40 Under 40 Class of 2022 is sponsored by PaintLine.

Woodworking Network is looking for 40 industry professionals under the age of 40, who are making a difference in their workplace, community and industry. Whether a wood products manufacturer, industry supplier, educator or association staff, persons from all job positions and all market segments, are eligible for the Woodworking Network 40 Under 40.

Nominations can be submitted through May 31 at bit.ly/submitunder40. The Woodworking Network 40 Under 40 Class of 2022 is sponsored by PaintLine.

Now in its seventh year, the 40 Under 40 awards program recognizes the achievements of standout individuals in the categories of: productivity, profitability, social good (locally or globally), ingenuity, innovation, peer inspiration, product development, organizational leadership, or other areas. Past honorees have been involved in the cabinet, residential furniture, contract/office furniture, closets/home organization, architectural woodwork, retail fixtures, and wood components markets, as well as related organizations.

“I look forward to seeing the list of nominees in the 2022 Woodworking Network 40 under 40, and applaud them for their drive and dedication to excellence in this ever-evolving and difficult business environment,” said Harry Urban, publisher of FDMC and Woodworking Network. “The young men and women who will make up the Class of ‘22 have overcome challenges that were not in any playbook just a couple of years ago. We’re proud of their accomplishments and salute their commitment to the industry, their communities and to greater causes.”

Tim Fixmer, president and CEO of CCI Media, the parent of Woodworking Network, agreed. “We are again proud to celebrate the commitment to excellence portrayed by some of the youngest, best, and brightest contributors to the woodworking industry in North America. This year’s team of honorees will join 242 alumni who have been recognized with this distinction in the past,” he said.

Selected by Woodworking Network’s editorial team, the 2022 honorees will be profiled on WoodworkingNetwork.com and in the October issue of FDMC magazine. They will also be recognized at industry events including the Leadership reception at IWF in August, and a reception at the Executive Briefing Conference, Sept. 15-17, at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colorado; 2022 honorees also will receive a complimentary registration to EBC, with discounted registration available for 40 Under 40 alumni.

“Being selected as a 40 Under 40 honoree carries far more than the distinction of public industry recognition,” Fixmer said. “We believe that networking with other industry leaders will help these young professionals continue on their leadership path to enhanced personal and professional growth.”

To qualify, candidates must be 40 or younger by Dec. 31, 2022, and be involved professionally in the North American woodworking industry. For information visit woodworkingnetwork.com/40under40 or email Karen Koenig at karen.koenig@woodworkingnetwork.com.
