SHERBROOKE, Quebec — Cuisine Idéale, a manufacturer of high-end kitchens since 1971, officially inaugurated its new head office and plant in Sherbrooke’s regional industrial park.
The company invested $41 million to construct and equip the more than 135,000-square-foot facility. The highly automated plant more than doubles Cuisine Idéale’s manufacturing capacity.
By adopting Industry 4.0 standards, the company said it is firmly positioned at the forefront of manufacturing innovation, optimizing efficiency, flexibility and product customization to meet the demands of a constantly evolving market.
“This project marks a key step in our development and our commitment to offering ever more innovative, high-quality products,” said Jean-Bernard Gagnon, president of Cuisine Idéale.
“With the opening of this new state-of-the-art plant, we will be able to strengthen our competitiveness on a national and international scale, while providing local jobs and contributing to Sherbrooke’s economic vitality,” added Pierre-Yves Gagnon, vice president.
Cuisine Idéale said it is consolidating its position as a leader in the kitchen and interior design sector by focusing on sustainability, technological innovation and operational excellence. The project is also part of the company’s drive to reduce its ecological footprint by adopting more environmentally-friendly manufacturing processes.
In addition to this technological enhancement, the company said the new facility provides its employees with a modern, ergonomic working environment in line with current best practices, enabling them to evolve in a pleasant setting conducive to their well-being.
