Rock House Farm, parent company of Century Furniture, Hancock & Moore, Maitland Smith and others, has agreed to acquire the casegoods design library from Marge Carson.

Marge Carson is based in Pomona, California, and ranked #241 in the FDMC 300. The company designs dining room furniture, bedroom furniture, occasional furniture, love seats, sofas, upholstered chairs, ottomans, bedding, and casegoods, primarily made in Philippines and Mexico.

The company expects that the first designs could be ready for shipment again through Maitland Smith by fall 2021 and that additional legacy designs will be re-introduced to the marketplace gradually over successive markets according to a report in Furniture Lighting & Decor.

RHF is acquiring only the designs themselves and no part of the Marge Carson business, backlog, brand or distribution.
"Over the years, Marge Carson and Jim LaBarge created an expansive and iconic library of wood product designs, many of which remain relevant today," says Alex Shuford, CEO of Rock House Farm Family of Brands.
