Carthage, MO - The Board of Directors of furniture maker Leggett & Platt elected R. Ted Enloe, III as Board Chair, effective January 1, 2016. Enloe has been a director of the company since 1969, and also currently serves on the boards of Silicon Laboratories and Live Nation. Enloe will succeed David S. Haffner, whose retirement was previously announced.

Enloe, 75, is a frequent lecturer at a number of business schools on Corporate Governance and Board Responsibilities, including the Harvard Business School, the London School of Business, Babson University, and his law school alma mater, Southern Methodist University. He also holds a degree in petroleum engineering from Louisiana Polytechnic.
Enloe has been Managing General Partner of Balquita Partners, Ltd., a family securities and real estate investment partnership, since 1996.
