AWI panel charts path to architectural millwork success

AWI is a cosponsor of the Wood Pro Expo Florida and will host a panel on success with architectural woodworking.

An expert panel organized by the Architectural Woodwork Institute will highlight skills, resources, and practical techniques to ensure success in today’s dynamic market for architectural millwork.

Doug HagueDoug Hague, CEO of AWI, recruited standout players in the field to participate in the panel, which will be held at 10 a.m. July 2 at the Palm Beach County Convention Center as part of the Wood Pro Expo Florida.

Panelists include:

  • Sebastien DesMarais, Hollywood Woodwork, President and CEO
  • Larry Musil, M. Bohlke Veneer, Architectural Sales Manager

“The panel is an awesome team and I look forward to leading a healthy conversation with them that will benefit the audience,” said Hague. 

Titled “Success in Architectural Woodwork,” the panel offers a comprehensive overview of the challenges and opportunities in architectural woodwork today.

Hague said he expects DesMarais to cover the business side, talking about effectively using data, the AWI annual Cost of Doing Business Survey, as well as integration of new equipment and software. Musil will cover sourcing quality materials, relationships with vendors, and ways to work with design community.

Panelists will answer questions and offer their perspectives about how the AWI benefits them and their businesses.

Co-located with the Closets Conference and Expo, the Wood Pro Expo Florida is at the Palm Beach Convention Center June 30-July 2.
