wpe-banner.jpg

Two annual woodworking industry shows will open next week at the Charlotte Convention Center - the regional Wood Pro Expo, and the national Cabinets & Closets Expo.

Both run side by side March 7 & 8, with more than 100 exhibitors in total. All throughout the event, there free activities for those who are registered. This includes on-the-floor demos, an awards program, and educational sessions. See panel, moulding, hardware and accessories, power tools, machining centers, edgebanders, saws, joinery systems....you could actually start a woodworking business right from the equipment and supplies on the show floor. You just have to get in. And here's a hint, you can do that for free, too. Here's the countdown to the no-cost way to see these expos. View Show Directory.

1. Get Free Entry from Exhibitors

Each exhibitor at the show has a special code they can provide you. Use it when you register online and it will waive the normal fee, zeroing it out. Ask any of the vendors exhibiting that you do business with. Or here's  a tip: search on Google for "Free Wood Pro Expo Registration Free." Navigate the results and look for companies who have posted a passcode to get you in. Some good examples are JB Cutting, and Walzcraft, which publish their passcodes right online.

2. Free Morning Keynote Addresses

Each morning at 9:00 a.m., hear powerful presentations by noted experts. On Wednesday March 7, that's Brian Kraff, CEO of Market Hardware. On Thursday, March 8 it's Will Sampson, Editor in Chief of FDMC magazine

3. Hear 16 Free Expert Conference Sessions

After the keynotes, enjoy your time on the Expo floor, before making your way to the Morning Conference Program - once again, it's free. That's right, four expert presenters each morning, 10:30 a.m.until Noon - and again each afternoon, 1:00 until 2:30 p.m. Subjects include Hardware, Software, CNC Operations, and Panel & Components trends. Here's more about the learning sessions.

4. Attend an ACSP  Roundtable Discussion, Free

On Thursday, March 7, the Association of Closets & Storage Professionals will sponsor roundtable sessions with peer to peer conversations on key topics, likes sales development and software. These gatherings begin at 1:00 p.m. in the Convention Center Conference Center in Room 213 D

5. March 8 Breakfast with Cabinet Makers Association, Free

On Friday morning, the CMA is hosting an amazing opportunity to enjoy a free breakfast while you share problems and solutions with other cabinetmakers. Held in collaboration with Weinig Holz-Her USA, the CMA's popular "What's Your Problem?" round table event offers a unique outlet to share business challenges and learn from others who have been there, done that, and succeeded.
