QUEBEC, Canada - Wood industry machinery manunfacturer Doucet Inc. named Alain Boulanger  territory sales manager for Canada and Northern USA. Alain was hired to succeed  Paul Goulet, who will retire in a few months.Boulanger has over 30 years of experience in the industrial woodworking industry,  more than two decades in the development of markets, sales and sales networks around the world in different industry segments.

More than 300 woodworkers and industry members were in attendance at Doucet Machineries' open house to view live demonstrations of panel processing and solid wood machinery.

Wood industry trade disputes are on the rise, with Chinese hardwood plywood imports subjected to countervailing duties up to 27 percent. Expansions at MasterBrand Cabinets and Wellborne Cabinets were also highly viewed.

Imperial Woodworks, Inc. in Waco, TX, has commissioned special clamping solution for laminating curved panels up to 24' long for use in various parts of radial church pews.The system was built by Doucet.

Doucet and Imperial Woodworks, Inc. are happy to announce that this collaboration has been a success and the customer has now been able to increase their capabilities while reducing the excessive labor that would normally be needed to make such panels.
