BESSEMER CITY, N.C. — Precision Drive Systems, a provider of high-speed precision spindles, support and repair, is showing a new automatic tool-change belt-drive spindle at AWFS Fair in Las Vegas on July 17-20, 2019, Booth 7854.
From high-speed spindles for wood, plastics, non-ferrous and metal cutting to arbors, aggregate, moulder, and tenoner spindles, PDS offers repair and customer service.
New at AWFS is the DLB 100 automatic tool-change belt-drive spindle. It uses patented Dyna-Lock tool-change technology and sensors for “tool locked” and “rotation.” The HSK63F tool interface is the most common in the industry and offers the greatest selection of tooling options. Two, three and four nose-bearing versions accommodate many application demands.
On one side of the square body, the center of the tool is only 50mm from the edge. Allowing users to run a smaller diameter tool, which means that using the DLB 100 as a jump spindle allows users to process very narrow parts.
PDS also offers a Quick-Turn emergency repair service to help woodworking customers minimize downtime, with a three-business-day turnaround once the unit has been received and disassembled at PDS.
Since 1996, PDS has been providing high-speed precision motor spindles, support and spindle repairs for CNC machines in the wood and plastics industries. The company manufactures automatic and manual tool-change spindles and five-axis heads under its own PDS brand and offers new spindles from leading manufacturers IMA Techno, Giordano Colombo, Hiteco and Spintec.
