THOMSON, Ga. - Graham Holdings Co. has entered into a letter of intent to acquire Hoover Treated Wood Products, Inc., a Georgia-based supplier of pressure impregnated kiln-dried lumber and plywood products for fire retardant and preservative applications. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter. Hoover president Barry Holden and the rest of the Hoover management team will continue to run the business. The purchase price was not disclosed.

CULVER, Ind. - Cabinetry and plumbing giant Elkay Wood Products has announced it will invest $3.9 million in its manufacturing facility in Culver, Indiana.

 

Elkay, ranked #5 on the FDMC 300's list of top North American cabinetry makers, will use the investment for new machinery and equipment.

 

Elkay employs over 300 in Culver, making it one of the town's largest employers.&
