JAMESTOWN, NY -- Bush Industries Inc. announced it will not renew its lease of its Tijuana, Mexico, facilities and operations will be completed by Nov. 30. “The capacity of the Tijuana operation is no longer required given the capabilities of Bush’s Global Sourcing Group,†said James Sherbert, CEO of Bush Ind. The Tijuana operation was established in 1991 and consists of 220,000 square feet of manufacturing space and 124 employees, producing component parts, painted parts and finished goods.

DELPHI, IN -- Chromcraft Revington announced it will cease manufacturing operations at its plant in Sumter, SC, on Oct. 31 and close its distribution center in Knoxville, TN, by the end of the year. The actions, part of a major repositioning of the company, will eliminate about 200 jobs in Sumter and 16 jobs in Knoxville.

Inc., Softcare’s sister company in Waterloo. The acquisition serves as part of Steelcase’s strategy to grow its new healthcare division, Nurture by Steelcase.

PHOENIX, AZ – Samuel Lawrence Furniture Co., a southwest Phoenix furniture manufacturer, and Pulaski Furniture are being merged to form a holding company called Home Meridian Int’l., according to The Business Journal. This comes after the announcement that Samuel Lawrence will be acquired by a Virginia company. The combined company will be led by George Revington, former CEO of Samuel Lawrence.
