October residential furniture orders drop, shipments rise: Smith Leonard
New residential furniture orders dropped 8% in October compared to the previous month, and were down 1% compared to 2024's figure, according to the December issue of Furniture Insights. Shipments were up 2% from September, and up 4% compared to October 2024.

Arclin acquires Willamette Valley
Arclin entered into an agreement to purchase Willamette Valley Co., a manufacturer and distributor of adhesives, coatings, meter and dispensing equipment, spray systems, ink jet systems and other products and services for the wood products and other industries. Arclin provides a variety of products including decorative overlays, panel products, and performance polymers and chemicals for the woodworking industry.

World's largest kitchen cabinet coming to Indiana
Construction is set to begin for the "World's Largest Hoosier Cabinet," which will be located on the green between Coppes Napanee Cabinet Co. and Coppes Commons in Nappanee, Indiana. The Dec. 9 groundbreaking of the giant kitchen cabinet marks the start of the manufacturer's 150th anniversary celebration in 2026.

October cabinet sales dip: KCMA Trend of Business report
Cabinet manufacturers reported overall sales were down 6.1% for October 2025 compared to the same month in 2024, with all three segments reporting year-over-year losses, according to the Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association's October Trend of Business report.
