Attila Madarasz, Fagus GreCon Inc. CEO

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Attila Madarasz has been named the CEO of Fagus GreCon Inc., a specialist in preventive fire protection systems, measuring equipment and inspection systems for the woodworking and other industrial manufacturing industries. He takes over for Eric Peterson, who retired at the end of 2025 after six years at the helm.

Madarasz joined the organization Oct. 13, 2025, and began his role leading the U.S. and Canadian operations on Nov. 1. Based at Fagus GreCon's North American headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina, Madarasz has more than 25 years of experience leading teams across a broad spectrum of manufacturing industries throughout his career at well-known European companies in the industrial manufacturing and plant engineered solutions sector — both in Europe and the USA.

“I am honored to be selected as Fagus GreCon’s next CEO.  I am excited to contribute to a company with a strong tradition of innovation and a rich history of delivering innovative high-quality products and services to their customers,” Madarasz said.

"We are excited with the addition of Attila as the new CEO of Fagus GreCon, Inc., so that we can continue to write our success story in North America for the long term,” said Alexander Kuppe, managing director Fagus GreCon Greten GmbH & Co. KG.

He added, “Fagus GreCon would like to express our sincere thanks to Eric for his tremendous dedication and commitment. He has contributed not only with expertise but also with heart and soul to the continued growth and development of our organization in the USA and Canada. We wish him all the very best for this new chapter in life, good health, and the opportunity to enjoy the freedom of managing his own time."

Since the transition, Peterson has been an advisor to the management team. “Fagus GreCon will always be a special place for me," he said. "It is a family-run business that cares about its people and customers. The Fagus GreCon management and board have given me the privilege over the last 6-plus years to make decisions to help grow and build the U.S.-Canada organization for long-term success. The innovative culture, the willingness to adapt and change, and the empowerment GreCon gives its employees are truly special. I think now is a suitable time for the organization to have new energy injected into the business."

Madarasz stated that his focus and mission at Fagus GreCon Inc. will be to build upon the strong foundation established by Peterson. This includes further expanding the organization’s sales and service capabilities to support continued business growth, advancing the diversification of the company’s go-to-market strategy in dynamic industries, and implementing technologies that enable effective management and long-term sustainable growth.
