A Green Woodworker, located in Manitowoc, WI, was the first to enter the 21st Design Portfolio Awards with this wood rocker produced using urban woods. The company's original design shows influences of Art Deco, Greene and Greene, Mid-century Modern, and Sam Maloof styles.

Started as a garden furniture business, A Green Woodworker diversified during the economic downtown to stay busy and has designed and produced one-of-a-kind furniture from a variety of materials; designed mouldings/millworks along with restorations turn of the century moulding/millworks; and restoration and repairs to antiques and family heirlooms.

Winners will be featured in a special December digital edition of Custom Woodworking Business as well as in the January 2014 print issue and will be celebrated at the only national live industry design awards ceremony, to be held during the 2014 Cabinets & Closets Conference & Expo at the Garden State Convention Center in Somerset, NJ, April 9-11.
