Lowe's Upgrades Professional Contractor and Remodeler Website

MOORESVILLE, NC - Lowe's Companies, Inc. (NYSE: LOW) updated its LowesForPros.com professional website. Through the upgraded site, Pro customers can make and track purchases of more than 500,000 items using a computer, tablet or smartphone and can choose to buy online and pick-up in-store or have orders delivered directly to their business or jobsite.
 
"LowesForPros.com helps Pros save time, money and run their businesses as efficiently as possible," said Mike Horn, Lowe's vice president of ProServices.  
 
Lowe's says the site is based on research that showed professional remodelers, builders and other home improvement contractors wants to create requisition lists, access purchase history reports and buy using custom catalogs. Among beta users was Conrex Residential Property Group, which operates 2,500 single family rentals. 
 
"As a company we needed more control over purchasing and reporting from field operations," says Tyson Schuetze, director of renovations for Conrex Residential Property Group. "We also love the idea of placing orders conveniently online without having to go to the store."  Custom catalogs developed for Conrex "help to standardize the look of our homes," says Schuetze e.g., a uniform selection is offered its craftsmen for shelving, lighting, moulding, and hardware."
 
The site also provides Pros includes relevant stories and how-tos, resources to help grow their businesses, and manages records for for tax-exempt purchases.
