Vance Publishing Corporation Celebrates 75 Years

LINCOLNSHIRE, Ill. - Vance Publishing Corporation is celebrating its 75th year in business serving the agribusiness, beauty, woodworking and home organization industries. The privately held B2B publishing company employs 200 professionals at its headquarters in Lincolnshire, IL, and offices in Lenexa, KS, and St. Louis, MO.

In remarks announcing the 75th anniversary milestone, Chairman William C. Vance said, “Since 1937, Vance Publishing Corporation has established itself as a business information leader within each market it serves. The company has grown organically as well as through strategic acquisitions. As a financially solid, privately held enterprise known for attracting the best talent and establishing critical connections with its professional audiences, Vance is in a position to act quickly to meet end-user and marketers’ unique information requirements. As our audiences have taken advantage of multi-platform content opportunities, Vance has significantly invested to ensure that our superior content is available wherever, whenever and however there is an information need.”

In observance of its 75th anniversary, Vance is unveiling a redesigned website and issuing a special “75th Anniversary” logo. The celebratory logo will be used throughout the year on all corporate products, including print publications, websites, e-newsletters and other digital and electronic products, and research and informational materials.

The redesigned website highlights Vance’s flagship brands, including The Packer, Modern Salon, Drovers/CattleNetwork, Wood & Wood Products, and more. The site also enhances the user experience with graphic-centric pages, more extensive and in-depth information. Additionally, as part of the anniversary celebration, a section of the website is devoted to videos of Vance employees talking about their experiences at the company.

Vance President Peggy Walker noted that, “Our employees are rightfully highlighted during our 75th anniversary celebration. It is through their efforts and talents that we have been able to deliver superior service and quality products to our audiences for over seven decades. Since our founding in 1937 we have invested in our employees, attracting and retaining the expertise and talent that raise our products--and our company--to the highest level.”

“Building on the past 75 years, Vance will continue to invest, and further establish our leadership positions, in the customization of content across our platforms; unique, targeted advertising and marketing opportunities; social networks and idea exchanges; and robust, detailed databases,” Mr. Vance added. “It is with a sense of pride and commitment to our heritage that we continue to serve the agribusiness, beauty, woodworking and home organization industries.”
