Game of Thrones walnut Hodor door stop goes viral

A simple walnut door stop has been seen by hundreds of thousands of people on social media.

The Game of Thrones inspired doorstop, created by the small, family-owned Naked Wood Works, is based on the Hodor character from the HBO series, whose name (SPOILER ALERT) was revealed to mean "hold the door" in a recent episode.

The door stop is just an unstained block of walnut wood with "Hodor" lasered on. The door stops are 7.5" long and will hold a door that is between 3/8" and 1-1/4" off the floor. They're sold on Amazon, Etsy, and the woodshop's website for $20.

With a good idea and just a bit of social media savvy and luck, Naked Wood Works' extremely simple product is sure to sell quite well. The company's other products, including a Game of Thrones-inspired cutting board, have also seen great success on Facebook and Instagram.
