IRVINE, Calif. -- Laguna Tools is expanding its line of professional-level industrial woodworking machinery. More than a decade ago, Laguna expanded their product line to include a CNC division, which itself has expanded into include CO2 lasers, fiber lasers and plasma machines. Around this same time, Laguna also created a wholesale network and developed an entire line that was designed specifically for the high-end hobbyist and light industrial market. Today, Laguna machines can be found at over 400 dealers all over the world.

Woodworking machinery manufacturer Felder Group says the 2015 AWFS Fair in Las Vegas was the most successful to date, creating a lot of excitement, especially among "classical machine line" woodworking machinery.

After a busy week at AWFS in Las Vegas, many exhibitors are heading north of the border to Toronto for Canada's largest wood machinery and supply event -- WMS 2015 -- being held at the International Centre, Nov. 4-7."It's a great time to be in the marketplace," said Laurel Didier, publisher of Woodworking Network, WMS event producer, "Like AWFS, WMS is held every other year. So businesses don't want to miss this opportunity to reconnect with customers and suppliers, build their business network and learn about trends and technology."  

The Las Vegas Convention Center is wood industry central for the next four days, with registration queues growing in anticipation of the opening of the AWFS Fair woodworking show at 9:00 sharp on July 22. Exhibitors hustled to uncrate woodworking machinery for sale, as forklifts sped through the halls. AWFS opens amid glowing Commerce Department reports of a housing starts surge in June.
