EnVision, a plant-wide software that integrates manufacturing data flow through both panel and solid wood machinery, has been developed by Weinig. Aimed at both the solid wood and panel industries, it is intended to enable mass customization production.

Holz-Her U.S. has named Carlos Castillo as its new executive sales manager. The panel processing equipment maker says Castillo will direct the company's sales activities in the West Coast region.

Claude Arsenault, the long-time head of Holz-Her Canada and past president of the Canadian Woodworking Machinery Distributors Association, is retiring effective July 1.

Weinig and Holz-Her, Inc. president Jason Howell was named to to the International Woodworking Fair Management Committee by the Wood Machinery Industry Association. WMIA operates the IWF 2014 jointly with the WMMA.

The WMIA Board of Directors has appointed Jason Howell (WEINIG) as the newest member of the IWF Management Committee for the IWF Woodworking Fair. IWF is the largest woodworking fair in the western hemisphere and attracts attendees from more than 70 countries. Mr. Howell will one of three members of the Management Committee representing WMIA, together with three members from the WMMA.

The Supervisory Board of Michael Weinig AG informs that Mr. Stephan Weber is not any more member of the Weinig Management Board as CSO.

The company says the event will focus on ways to increase production capabilities and lower labor costs.
