SCM Group and HG Grimme signed an agreement by which SCM acquires 51 percent of HG.

Featuring two anthropomorphic robots, the completely automated Lean Robot Cell system performs all of the various machining stages of a job - from semi-machined panels to panels completely machined.

SCM’s display at AWFS Fair this week will include more than 12,000 square feet of equipment, demonstrations of Industry 4.0 and lean manufacturing.

SCM Group shows a technical demonstration of Lean Robotic Automation on Dec. 5 and Dec. 6. SCM's Lean Manufacturing Cell will demonstrate nesting coupled with a Kawasaki robot tending an edgebander and CNC doweling machine. Parts will be produced for cabinet assembly in a CPC through-feed case clamp.

SCM now offers a small machining center for vertical drilling, able to produce up to 400 pieces per shift. It is applicable to Batch 1 production, drilling on 5 faces of the panel with routing and grooving operations.
