Sawlog prices moved up in North America, Eastern Europe and Latin America, while falling in Western Europe.

The Global Forest Industry in the 3Q/2013
Sawlog prices were higher in practically all of the 20 regions worldwide as tracked by the WRQ each quarter. The only exceptions were in Canada, Western US, Finland and Brazil where prices were slightly lower than in the previous quarter.

The Wood Resource Quarterly report of the Global Forest Industry in the first Quarter 2013 reports sawlog prices were up in practically all regions covered by the WRQ in the first Quarter of 2013, the biggest quarter-to-quarter increase since early 2011.

Sawlog prices trended downward worldwide in past 12 months with the
Global Sawlog Price Index falling 11% from the 2Q/11 to the 2Q/12,
according to the Wood Resource Quarterly.

Plum Creek Timber Co., Inc. announced fourth quarter earnings of $61 million, or $0.38 per diluted share, on revenues of $315 million. Earnings for the fourth quarter of 2010 were $59 million, or $0.37 per diluted share, on revenues of $356 million.
