A special session on national and international safety standards was presented August 20, during the 2014 International Woodworking Fair in Atlanta. The joint ISO/ANSI TAG session is hosted by the WMIA and WMMA.

For my second IWF, I began the day before the show opened as a panelist on the Woodworking Inventors Symposium. The most surprising benefit to the symposium was the interaction and the back-and-forth with other shop owners.
This was my second time attending IWF, which made the overall experience much more approachable and relaxed. I went to visit select vendors to ask questions and discuss specific issues, making a large show more approachable.
All indications show positive growth for IWF 2014. Registration was 10% higher, and increased in 47 of 50 states.The 920 exhibitors included over 200 new exhibiting companies at the International Woodworking Fair 2014.
