Top millwork designs named by AWI
POTOMAC FALLS, Va. -- The Architectural Woodwork Institute has announced the 2016 winners of the Standard of Excellence awards. Each winner has been featured in the AWI official journal, Design Solutions Magazine and the awards will be presented during the 2016 AWI Annual Convention in Kansas City, Missouri on October 24.
The 2016 Overall Standard of Excellence winner is Stephenson Millwork Co., Inc. located in Wilson, North Carolina, for the North Carolina State University Talley Student Union Center project.

Architectural woodworkers split in North American standards dispute
The Architectural Woodwork Manufacturers Association of Canada and Sacramento, California-based Woodwork Institute say they will develop a new architectural woodwork standard for North America. The move follows a dispute over ANSI standards with the Architectural Woodwork Institute, Potomac Falls, Virginia.
