John and Jared Hagen, Fine Finish Factory Inc., created a home office space with a slated ceiling, waterfall wall, and custom cabinetry. The project won the Home Office: Over 150 sq. ft. category in the 2023 Top Shelf Design Awards. Winners were announced on April 13 at a reception sponsored by CCF Industries during the Closets Conference & Expo, held in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Here's how the Hagens describe the project:

Project Title: Wax

Project Details: Built and installed slated ceiling, waterfall wall, custom cabinets, and millwork. The custom desk also has a monitor lift system.

Projection Construction: Design for floor plan and interior elevations done by Nico Wallace from Matrix Design Studio. Fine Finish Factory Inc. built and installed all millwork and cabinets. Desk veneers were custom laid up by Brett Hesser Handcrafted.

Materials Used: Qtr. Sapele veneers, hardwood, Pimento Burl veneers, Fenix laminate, domestic prefinished maple, and Blum hardware.

Equipment Used: Auto CAD, Altendorf sliding table saw, SCMI edge bander, Powermatic table saw, misc tools
