Lightshifter, created by Austrian designers F/LIST, is a material concept that allows wood veneer to become a light source at the touch of a button. Crushing the language barrier: Google earbuds translate in real time

Google's newly-announced Pixel Buds headphones are live-translating - allowing face-to-face- communication between people who don't speak the same language.

Besides supporting 40 languages (as if that wasn't enough), the earbuds' most notable aspect is that translation works both ways. Users of the headphones will not only hear the translation directly in their ears, but the headphones will also emit sound through front speakers, allowing the other person to hear the user's response in his/her own language.
