TOWSON, Md. - Porter Cable announces the launch of the five-inch random orbit sander (PCCW205B), an extension of the Porter Cable 20V MAX System, which features a range of cordless tools created for professionals working in residential construction.

Running at 12,000 orbits per minute (OPM), the new orbit sander allows users to remove old material, like paint and varnish. Its high-performance dust collection system offers a choice to use the included dust collection bag or to connect a vacuum with an integrated multi-port adapter that accepts hoses of various diameters.

Porter Cable says the sander's low profile design will make it easy to control and give it low vibration.

With the battery and charger not included, the random orbit sander will be available in Fall 2017 at $59.99 MSRP and will come with a three-year limited warranty, one-year service, and 90-day money-back guarantee.

With more than 100 years of experience, Porter Cable is a manufacturer and marketer of professional-grade cordless and corded power tools, equipment, and accessories. The company is said to have introduced the world’s first helical drive circular saw, portable band saw, and portable belt sander.
